Xiaomi's Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition can zip along at 40 km/h (25 mph) and costs 9,999 yuan (US$1,440)
On top of all the new Ultra-related smartphone releases today, Xiaomi has found the time to unveil the Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition. The latest go-kart from the Chinese OEM is an upgrade to the recently released Ninebot Number 9 GoKart Pro, as the Lamborghini Edition can unsurprisingly manage a faster top speed of 40 km/h (24.85 mph) compared to 37 km/h (23 mph) for the cheaper model.
The Xiaomi Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition also sports a yellow color scheme ("Giallo Orion"), as is appropriate for a vehicle with the word “Lamborghini” in its name. Thanks to a 432 Wh battery pack, the zippy go-kart can manage up to 62 laps of a 400-m track. It comes with special tires for improved drifting performance and even has what Xiaomi calls an “engine sound profile emulation system” so drivers can really feel like they are racing a Lamborghini around a track when using the GoKart Pro.
According to one source, the Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition will be priced at 9,999 yuan (US$1,440) and is available for presale in China, with full regular sale commencing on August 16 – and there will be limited shipping available worldwide for international go-kart fans. The new Lamborghini-styled GoKart Pro can carry a load of up to 100 kg, can be driven at night thanks to the presence of “ice lake blue” LED headlights, and apparently it even comes with its own vehicle number plate.
