Xiaomi brought type 1-inch camera sensors to the mainstream market with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra last year. While the 14 Ultra failed to make any significant jumps in its main camera sensor, new information now indicates that the 15 Ultra is set to take a step forward in that department.
As revealed by Kartikey Singh, Xiaomi is poised to equip the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with a main camera larger than the 1-inch sensors on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra (buy on Amazon). If this leak holds true, that would see the 15 Ultra debut with the largest camera sensor on a smartphone yet.
In addition to an upgraded main camera, Digital Chat Station claims Xiaomi will also improve the Xiaomi 15 Ultra's zoom setup. The phone is mooted to continue with a quad-camera array comprised of the main camera, two telephoto lenses, and an ultra-wide snapper. Supposedly, the periscope lens has been upgraded as well to deliver better performance in the 10x to 30x zoom range.
And as per my findings, Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the 1st smartphone to exceed the 1'inch main camera size. pic.twitter.com/oEqk8C9srR
