More Xiaomi 15 details revealed in new leak

A leak last week revealed key details of the upcoming Xiaomi 15. While the vanilla model of Xiaomi's next-gen flagship series looks unlikely to deliver significant upgrades over the Xiaomi 14, a new leak has now provided even more insight into the camera hardware of the premium device.

As shared by Digital Chat Station, the vanilla Xiaomi 15 will come equipped with three 50 MP rear cameras: a 1/1.3-inch main camera, an ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 3x telephoto lens. It's unknown if the 50 MP main camera will be the LYT900 from the Xiaomi 14 Pro or the same Light Fusion 900 on the Xiaomi 14 (buy on Amazon). Digital Chat Station refers to it as an "ultra-large bottom" sensor, however, so there's also a chance it's the OV50K, a sensor also rumored to be on the Xiaomi 15 Pro.

Reportedly, the Xiaomi 15 will max out at 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. As previously reported, it will also mark Xiaomi's transition over to ultrasonic fingerprint readers. Other mooted features include a straight 1.5K display, black and white colorways, a leather model, and new battery technology with improved energy density.
