While the Xiaomi 15 series is still half a year away from launch, information on the trio has already surfaced courtesy of leaks, with the latest one claiming the line-leading Xiaomi 15 Ultra will debut with the largest camera sensor seen on a smartphone yet.
According to a new leak, however, it appears Xiaomi will yet again not bring all three models to the global market. After launching the Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Ultra globally last year, the company chose to release just the vanilla Xiaomi 14 (buy on Amazon) and 14 Ultra this time, keeping the 14 Pro exclusive to China. Apparently, the Xiaomi 15 series will be more of the same.
As revealed by Android Headlines, the Xiaomi 15 has been listed with three model numbers: 24129PN74G, 24129PN74I, and 24129PN74C. Those three model numbers identify the Global, Indian, and Chinese models respectively. On the flip side, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is limited to one model, "24101PNB7C", for the Chinese market. There's a variant with the model number "2410DPN6CC“, also exclusive to the Chinese market but with satellite connectivity support. Launch is mooted for October, with the phones set to be the first to hit the market with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
