Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro to be first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 devices on the market

Qualcomm is expected to launch its next-gen flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, in the last quarter of the year, potentially sometime in October. According to a new leak, Xiaomi will once again be the first OEM to feature the chipset when it debuts. 

As revealed by leaker Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi retains exclusive "first launch rights" for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. That's no surprise as Qualcomm is said to own a stake in Xiaomi, with the company also earning a reputation for being the first to launch devices with Qualcomm's biggest Snapdragon chipsets over the last few years. 

Supposedly, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Like with the Xiaomi 14 series (buy on Amazon), both premium phones can be expected to debut in China shortly after the Qualcomm chipset is announced, before launching globally a few months later. The OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13 are mooted to debut right after the Xiaomi 15 series is unveiled in China.
