New Xiaomi 15 leak reveals minimal improvements over the Xiaomi 14
The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro have been widely reported to be the first devices to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 when it's released later in the year. That may still be months away but a new leak has now already revealed some key details of the premium device.
As shared by Kartikey Singh, the Xiaomi 15 is set to continue with a 1.5K display like on the Xiaomi 14. The 2K screens will likely be reserved for the Xiaomi 15 Pro and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Similarly, no upgrades are expected on the zoom side, with the Xiaomi 15 also tipped to feature a standard 3.2x telephoto lens beneath a 50 MP camera—just like on the Xiaomi 14. In addition, the leaker claims the flagship phone will not sport a battery in the 5000 mAh range, but will stay around 4000 mAh. The Xiaomi 14 features a 4610 mAh unit, and it's likely its successor will continue on a similar note.
All of that in mind, the Xiaomi 15 looks to be an incremental upgrade on the Xiaomi 14. Two significant changes are expected at least, however: a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in place of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the current model, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in place of the optical-type unit on the Xiaomi 14 (buy on Amazon).

The good news is that even Vanilla Xiaomi 15 will also have an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner this time. https://t.co/lY27IOYX3E
