The Vivo V50 Lite 5G is the new midrange smartphone from Vivo that boasts a 50 MP primary camera based on the Sony IMX882 sensor and a 120 Hz AMOLED display. It also features MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor, an LED ring flash, and a 6,500 mAh battery that supports 90 W wired charging. It’s now available for purchase via Vivo’s online store.

Earlier this week, Vivo announced the 4G variant of the Vivo V50 Lite. Today (March 21), the brand has also introduced the Vivo V50 Lite 5G variant globally. Both variants share many similarities in terms of display, camera, and battery. However, the only difference is the 5G variant comes with a newer chipset and better connectivity options. The V50 Lite 5G, a direct successor to the Vivo V40 Lite 5G that debuted last year, boasts a larger battery capacity and a bigger display size than its predecessor.

The Vivo V50 Lite 5G features a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel (up from the 6.67 of the Vivo V40 Lite) with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Measuring 7.9 mm (0.31 in) thick and weighing 196 grams (0.43 lbs), the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which includes a 5G modem. It packs 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there’s no microSD card slot here for further storage expansion.

The 5G variant retains the same primary camera as its 4G counterpart, which is a 50 MP camera based on the Sony IMX882 sensor. The main sensor is complemented by an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. It features a large 6,500 mAh battery (up from the 5,000 of the V40 Lite 5G) that supports 90 W wired charging support. The device comes with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, and there’s no word on software support from the brand.

Other features include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, IP65 water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC support. Like its predecessor, Vivo also ditched a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Available in black, gold, and purple colorways, the Vivo V50 Lite 5G smartphone costs €400 for the 12 GB + 512 GB model. It is now available for purchase in Europe via Vivo’s online store.
