VANKYO Leisure 470 Roku affordable projector launches
VANKYO has announced the Leisure 470 Roku in the US, the first official Roku partner projector. The kit combines the VANKYO Leisure 470 mini projector with a Roku Express streaming player, which can be connected via HDMI. The Roku gadget lets you stream content from Apple TV, HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube and other platforms and control the device with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands.
You can also wirelessly mirror content to the Leisure 470 from an iOS or Android device. The gadget can throw images up to 240-in (~610 cm) wide; the optimal 90-in (~229 cm) image requires the device to be placed 9.84 ft (~3.0 m) from the screen. The VANKYO projector has a native 720p resolution, 1080p decoding, and a 3,500:1 contrast ratio for detailed images. The LCD light source lasts up to 50,000 hours and delivers up to 120 lumens brightness, and the MStar Advanced Color Engine produces vivid colors.
The portable projector has 3W stereo speakers, a USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. The compact device measures 8.7 x 6.6 x 3.3-in (~221 x 168 x 84 mm) and weighs 2.98 lbs (~1.4 kg). You can now buy the VANKYO Leisure 470 Roku kit in the US at Walmart for US$139. It is unclear whether or when the product could go on sale in other markets.
