The Optoma ZW350e projector has been launched globally. The new device has a DuraCore laser light source with up to 4,000 lumens brightness and a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Optoma claims the ZW350e is its most compact and easy-to-use DuraCore projector, and an external battery makes the gadget portable.

Optoma has launched the ZW350e projector worldwide. The company indicates that the device has been designed for meeting rooms or medium-sized exhibition spaces. The projector uses the IP6X-certified optical engine with a DuraCore laser light source with up to 30,000 hours of life expectancy, reducing energy consumption by 45% versus lamp-based projectors from the brand. 

The ZW350e has a WXGA native resolution, up to 4,000 lumens brightness and a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. You can use the projector to throw images from 20 to 300-in (~51 to 762 cm) wide, with a 1.54 to 1.72 throw ratio. Other features include a 1.1X optical zoom, a portrait mode, 360° operation and an auto keystone image perfecting tool. Ports on the projector include two HDMI, a 3.5mm audio jack, RS232 and a USB-A port. Plus, the ZW350e has an integrated 15W speaker and an external power pack, making it portable.

Optoma suggests that the new projector is both it's easiest to use and most compact DuraCore laser projector so far; the ZW350e is 34% smaller than older models, measuring 10.79 x 8.5 x 4.49-in (~274 x 216 x 114 mm) and weighing 6.61 lbs (~3.0 kg). You can now buy the Optoma ZM350e projector in the US for US$999, in the UK for £840 and in the EU for around €965.
