The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is set to be officially unveiled on 13 May. One standout feature of this flagship phone is its ultra-thin 5.8 mm (0.23 in) chassis – making it nearly one third slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Ultra (approx. $1,190 on Amazon).
The highly regarded leaker @OnLeaks recently published several hands-on photos on Android Headlines, apparently showing the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 Ultra side by side at a launch event. In the images, the Galaxy S25 Edge appears noticeably thinner than the Ultra. However, since the two devices share an otherwise very similar design, they closely resemble each other.
Beyond the Edge's remarkable thinness, the most significant difference between the two phones is their pill-shaped camera modules. The Galaxy S25 Edge houses its two lenses in a rear bump, making the cameras appear to protrude less from the chassis. It should come as no surprise that these two cameras are nearly the same size as those on the S25 Ultra, given the S25 Edge is also expected to feature a 200 MP main shooter with a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a 12 MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera.
The hands-on photos showcase the S25 Edge in silver, blue and black colourways. Nevertheless, Samsung may potentially also release additional colours exclusive to its online shop. The Galaxy S25 Edge will reportedly feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 6.7-inch 120 Hz AMOLED display, and a relatively small 3,900 mAh battery capable of 25-watt fast charging. All other details related to specifications, pricing and availability will be revealed at the launch event on Tuesday, 13 May.
