RedMagic has started a trend of taking a premium smartphone and replacing one of its rear cameras with an active spinning fan of a similar size; now, Oppo is said to follow it in an upcoming addition to the K13 series.
Unlike its apparent model the 10 Pro (now available for $749 on Amazon), its RGB is allegedly to be located in accent strips along its edges.
It is also to be called the K13 Turbo Pro rather than the K13 Turbo as thought earlier, according to a new leak. That might be due to the size of its 6.82-inch display - although the 1.5K panel is now believed to be 144Hz, even though Oppo is rumored to have 165Hz technology in the works.
Still, other specs such as its 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage and "intelligent frequency conversion" (mobile VRR? (...or active dimming?)) could also be found in a PC rather than the high-performance Android smartphone the "Turbo Pro" is shaping up to be.
It might run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 silicon specifically for mobile devices nonetheless. Its form-factor might also have room for an on-trend 50MP main rear camera, although its secondary shooter might be less worth its space at 2MP.
The "K13 Pro Turbo" might have a plastic mid-frame and an optical fingerprint reader in order to hit a more attractive price-point.
Finally, it seems Oppo might have been able to make its upcoming 'gaming phone' waterproof, but not dust-proof, based on its alleged IPX8 rating.
