Xiaomi Sound Party: New Bluetooth speaker comes with special lighting, power bank and stereo function

Xiaomi offers a wide range of portable speakers and is adding another model, the Xiaomi Sound Party. While there is no precise information on price or availability, the model has already appeared on Xiaomi's global website and is thus very likely to be launched in other markets where Xiaomi's products are readily available. It is a mobile speaker that can be connected to an audio source via Bluetooth 5.4. Pairing is said to be very easy and can even be done with help of NFC if desired.

An audio output of 50 watts is specified, with 15 watts for the tweeter and 35 watts for the woofer - these are likely to be the peak output values. The output can be increased even further by pairing two Xiaomi Sound Party speakers, creating true stereo sound. A battery with a capacity of 37.96 Wh is installed, which can be charged in 10 minutes for two hours of playback. The speaker also doubles as a power bank. Battery life is rated at up to 26 hours; this applies at half volume and with the lighting off.

Listed under the model number MDZ-39-DB, the speaker measures 255 x 92 x 92 millimeters, weighs around 1,200 grams, and is said to be protected against damage from dust and water ingress in accordance with IP67 standards. Lastly, the speaker features 3D colorful lighting that is designed match the rhythm of the music played.
