New netbook with a Digitizer Touchscreen

The new Touchscreen uses a pen-input

Digitizers are generally used in things like Wacom pads which require pen-input on their PC. Even Windows XP has a Tablet mode that supports pen-input that was used in earlier Tablets. Now the same feature is coming to the modern netbooks. It maynot gained much popularity, but now mobileandnotebook.com has pictures of this one of a kind netbook.

It sports a Touchscreen that can be swiveled around in 180 degrees and it can then be folded flat on top of the keyboard to create a tablet PC – yes, just like the T1028X. But unlike the T1028X, it doesnot react to finger-touch at all. It has a 10.2” display with 1,024x600 resolution, an 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 160GB hard drive, support for 802.11a/b/g WiFi and a memory card reader.

The stylus that is used to input text is tucked away at the rear and there are two buttons on the left hand side of the display that allows you to flip it around to suit how you hold the netbook. Mobileandnotebook also reports a battery that is as good as 2-3 hrs only.
