Barely a day has gone by since Honor outlined the date and contents of its next hardware launch event. To recap, the company confirmed that it would use its event to showcase the Magic V3, a rival to the Galaxy Z Fold5 (curr. $1,399.99 on Amazon) and Galaxy Z Fold6 that will arrive barely 48 hours after Samsung officially unveils the latter. Additionally, Honor will unveil the Magic Vs3, likely a cut-down Magic V3, plus a MagicPad 2 tablet and MagicBook Art 14 laptop.
As we expected, Honor has decided to drip-feed more information about its forthcoming devices. Principally, the company has shared a short teaser video showcasing the Magic V3 in which all but the device's foldable display can be seen. Aligning with recent leaks, Honor will continue to offer its flagship foldable with a vegan leather finish, albeit in tan this year instead of black like with the Magic V2.
Moreover, although the Magic V3 looks particularly thin in the same video, its is only believed to be marginally thinner than its 9.9~10.1 mm predecessor. Nonetheless, Honor has included a periscope telephoto camera this year, which was not present in the Magic V2.
Meanwhile, Honor has confirmed that the MagicPad 2 will launch with an OLED display that combines a 3K resolution with a 144 Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, its MagicBook Art 14 laptop appears to have particularly thin display bezels. Predictably, Honor sought to take a swipe at Apple in the process, despite the obvious visual similarities between the MagicBook Art 14 and the MacBook Pro 14. Honor will unveil all the new devices shown on July 12, albeit only in China.
