Xiaomi reveals the launch date of a new affordable Redmi tablet
Xiaomi's Redmi is bringing a new version of the Redmi Pad SE. While last year's tablet was WiFi only, the upcoming variant will bring 4G connectivity. This new affordable Android tab is set to be unveiled on July 29 in India, and the company will likely roll it out globally at a later date.
As for the specs, the company says that the Redmi Pad SE 4G will feature an HD display and support Dolby Atmos. With the right screen size, these two could make the upcoming Android tablet a good pick for entertainment. Camera-wise, the tab will sport an 8 MP camera on the back and a 5 MP selfie shooter on the front.
Redmi has also shared some teaser images of the Pad SE 4G. According to them, the new Android tablet will launch in blue and green colorways. The pictures also show that the back will sport a circular camera island, which will make it look different than last year's model (4/128 GB curr. $156.99 on Amazon).
Other details are yet to be shared by the company, but the Pad SE 4G could have the same core specs as last year's tablet. That means we may see it feature the Snapdragon 680, an 8,000 mAh battery, up to 8 GB of RAM, and an 11-inch screen.
