Honor has released the Honor 70 in Europe, its answer to the Nothing Phone (1). Equipped with a Snapdragon 778G Plus chipset and a 120 Hz OLED display, the Honor 70 also features three high-resolution cameras and a 4,800 mAh battery. The Honor 70 comes in three colours and ships with Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12.

Honor has presented the Honor 70 during IFA 2022 as part of its global launch. For context, the Honor 70 debuted in May, but only in Honor's home market of China. However, Honor did not start selling the Honor 70 in China until early June, where it is configurable with three memory configurations and in four colours. Incidentally, Honor also sells the Honor 70 Pro and Honor 70 Pro Plus in China, which the company has not introduced globally yet.

According to Honor, the Honor 70 will ship in Crystal Silver, Emerald Green and Midnight Black colour options. For some reason, the company has decided against releasing the device's Icelandic Frost colourway outside China. Unfortunately, Honor has not confirmed how much the smartphone costs yet, nor in what memory configurations it will be available. For reference, Honor offers the device with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM in China and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Based on recent product launches, the global version of the Honor 70 is unlikely to come in all the memory configurations that its Chinese sibling offers. Instead, Honor could just offer one variant, such as its 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage option.

The Honor 70 will ship with Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12 and relies on the Snapdragon 778G Plus, the same chipset found in the Nothing Phone (1). Additionally, the smartphone features a 6.67-inch OLED display operating at 1080p and 120 Hz, plus a 4,800 mAh battery that supports 66 W wired charging. Separately, the Honor 70 contains 54 MP primary, 50 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP depth and 32 MP front-facing cameras, although none support OIS. Honor states that the smartphone will be orderable in Europe from today, but pricing will not be revealed until after the company's keynote ends.

Update

Honor has now confirmed that the Honor 70 5G will be available for €549 in the Eurozone with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device is available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for €599.90. Both storage variants can be ordered in Crystal Silver, Emerald Green and Midnight Black colourways.
