Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatch from Huami launched: Light, thin, and colorful with blood oxygen measurement and smart voice assistant for 999 yuan (US$147)

Along with the just-released Amazfit GTR 2, Huami has also revealed the Amazfit GTS 2 for those who want a smartwatch with a more modern design language (and looks a lot like the Apple Watch series). The GTS 2, which is now available in China, can be purchased in one of three colors: dolphin gray, obsidian black, or flowing gold. The latest iteration of the Amazfit GTS looks much sleeker than its predecessor, which it manages by weighing less and having a slimmer profile.

Of course, Huami has packed in plenty of useful features into the Amazfit GTS 2, including the OyxgenBeats blood oxygen monitor. The commonly found smartwatch health systems are also onboard: heart-rate tracking, sleep monitoring, fitness assessment. Like the new GTR 2, the GTS 2 also offers wearers 12 sports modes to select from, with Huami planning on boosting that figure to a choice of 90 in the near future.

Many of the specs (see below sources for drop-down list) are unsurprisingly similar to those of the round-faced Amazfit alternative; however, the battery life for the Amazfit GTS 2 is a little less spectacular. But at 7 days of normal use and 20 days of basic use, the battery life is still workable, and it only takes 2 hours to charge the smartwatch via magnetic charger attachment. The GTS 2 costs 999 yuan (US$147) and should make it to international shores in the not too distant future.
