Amazfit Pop details revealed by Huami: Colorful, lightweight, and fun smartwatch that takes health and fitness seriously
A few snippets of information about the Amazfit Pop were recently leaked; however, Huami has now unleashed the official teaser trail for the smartwatch. This includes posting some details about the device and even uploading a chirpy promo video that shows the Amazfit Pop in all its glory. The smartwatch comes with a 1.43-inch HD display and weighs in at a wrist-friendly 31 g (just over an ounce).
A couple of specifications for the Amazfit Pop have also been shared by Huami via the colorful clip: The Pop smartwatch comes in a host of colors and users can choose from more than 50 watch faces for it, fitness alerts and notifications appear to be onboard, and users can utilize the inbuilt NFC support for quick payments. With sleep tracking and blood oxygen monitoring also available, it’s what smartwatch buyers want from their wearable nowadays.
The aforementioned 60 activity modes should encourage users to stay fit and healthy, and apparently the Huami Amazfit Pop can run for up to nine days before requiring a fresh full charge. Unsurprisingly, the Amazfit Pop smartwatch also features the Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) app, and if Huami prices the device at a competitive rate, it should be a winner in a competitive market. Pre-sales for the wearable start on October 21 in China; there is no news about a potential global release for the Pop yet.
