Amazfit has addressed Balance 2 smartwatch users' concerns about a couple of missing features. This smartwatch was launched in China in May 2025 and was released globally in June.
On Reddit, customers have questioned why the new BioCharge metric and Golf app are not currently available on the Balance 2 smartwatch. Both of these features were advertised on product pages or in influencer reviews. A representative for the brand confirmed that the lack of BioCharge was intentional. Apparently, the company is refining the tool “especially for the watch form factor”; it is already avaialbe for users of the Helio Strap. It is unclear when it will be released to Balance 2 smartwatch users, though supposedly it is in final beta testing.
Addressing the missing Golf feature, this is said to have been removed in some regions due to a lack of interest from early customers. The company has yet to confirm the list of countries in which users can access the Golf mode. However, the same Amazfit team member noted that multiple users had requested that it be reintroduced. It remains unclear whether or not the Golf feature will return to users in the future.
In China, Amazfit announced a software update at the end of June for the Balance 2 (curr. $299.99 at Amazon). This brought the advertised scuba diving mode to customers, as well as three HYROX Training Modes and a safety light for night time outdoor workouts. When the next global Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch update will arrive remains to be seen.
