The MIX Fold 3 remains without a release date, despite Xiaomi's confirmation that the device will launch later this month. In the meantime, a hands-on photo of Xiaomi's next foldable smartphone has emerged, offering a look at its design and quad Leica cameras.

An alleged photo of the forthcoming MIX Fold 3 has appeared online, seemingly first shared on the social media platform Bilibili. Currently, the authenticity of the single image has not been verified. Hence, we would recommend viewing it with a degree of scepticism until Xiaomi reveals official photos of the MIX Fold 3 itself.

With that said, the image does not appear to have been manipulated in one way or another. Additionally, the image matches expectations that Xiaomi set for its next-generation foldable via its CEO and teasers on its various social media accounts. For example, Lei Jun previously confirmed that the MIX Fold 3 has four rear-facing cameras, all with Leica tunings.

Moreover, the little frame that can be seen mirrors that Xiaomi shared in its teasers. Incidentally, the front of the MIX Fold 3 has already surfaced online, as has an image of its retail packaging. The MIX Fold 3 will debut in China later this month, although Xiaomi has not confirmed a release date yet. Reportedly, the handset will not be available outside its home market though, unlike its Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra flagships.
