Xiaomi has outlined several hardware details about three of its upcoming POCO smartphones. Arriving later this week, the POCO X6, POCO X6 Pro and POCO M6 Pro 4G will all have their origins in other Xiaomi handsets, albeit with some changes to distinguish them from their Redmi series counterparts.

Xiaomi remains a few days away from releasing new mid-range smartphones, having set January 11 as the day when it will showcase at least three models. Previously, the company outlined that HyperOS would be available on the POCO X6 Pro, among other hardware details that also applied to the POCO X6 and POCO M6 Pro 4G. By contrast, the Redmi Note 13 series is expected to launch globally later this month with MIUI 14 and Android 13 rather than their HyperOS and Android 14 successors.

Subsequently, Xiaomi has shared various teasers on its POCO Global Twitter account, many of which we have embedded below. While many are still images relating to the POCO X6 series and POCO M6 Pro, one is a short video that offers a 'closer look' at the POCO X6 Pro in its POCO Yellow finish. As another teaser highlights, this colour variant has a vegan leather back panel, and a black camera housing that Xiaomi claims has a Damascus knife-inspired design.

Additionally, Xiaomi has confirmed that the POCO X6 Pro will support 'WildBoost Optimization 2.0', a service that should reduce loading times while improving gameplay clarity and smoothness. Although the company has focused on the POCO X6 Pro for the most part, the teasers below mention the presumably cheaper POCO X6 5G and POCO M6 Pro 4G, too. Based on the specifications revealed so far, it appears that the POCO X6 5G is indeed a re-branded Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, which could launch outside China and India later this month as well.

Meanwhile, the POCO X6 Pro will serve as the global version of the Redmi K70E, itself a Chinese-exclusive until now. Arguably, the most interesting re-brand of the three is the POCO M6 Pro 4G, which could share its specifications with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. For reference, the latter remains unreleased for the time being. However, an extensive leak at the end of last year links the POCO M6 Pro 4G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G, which will both feature a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra chipset, as well as a 120 Hz AMOLED display and 67 W wired charging but. Xiaomi will distinguish the pair in a few areas though, including with their 64 MP and 200 MP primary cameras, respectively.
