Advertised as the biggest update of the year so far, World of Tanks 1.18 is now available with a branch of Italian tank destroyers that feature a non-standard autoloader, a new map for random battles called Outpost, a few rebalanced vehicles, matchmaking changes for light vehicles and SPGs, and more.

Earlier this week, World of Tanks 1.18 finally arrived after spending a few weeks on the test server for the final tweaks. The result is the biggest update of 2022, which includes a whole branch of Italian tank destroyers and a few less visible changes.

The aforementioned Italian branch of vehicles starts with the tier V Semovente M41 and goes up to tier X, where Wargaming has decided to add the Controcarro 3 Minotaur. The Outpost map joins the list of virtual battlefields available for Random Battle games, while various vehicles got rebalanced, including the tier X Kranvagn and the AMX M4 mle. 54.

In addition to the above, World of Tanks 1.18 also comes with improved visuals for destroyed tracks, new rules for balancing light and wheeled tanks, as well as no less than 14 adjusted maps, including Berlin, Himmelsdorf, and Murovanka. Those who hate being fired upon by 3 enemy SPGs simultaneously should have less to worry about from now on because "Now, the majority of battles will have between 0–2 SPGs on each team. With that, the matchmaker will keep the number of battles with 3 SPGs per team to an absolute minimum."
