With the Z95A, Panasonic presents one of the first Smart TVs in the world to feature the brand new LG OLED MLA+ panel, which promises even brighter whites and significantly more vibrant colors than last year's LG OLED G3, for example. The flagship TV offers exciting features with 4K, 144 Hz, a fast MediaTek chip, and Fire TV.

Just a few hours ago, LG Display introduced its brightest OLED panel for Smart TVs to date. This "Meta Technology 2.0 MLA+" panel is now already being used in the first TV from a third-party provider, as Panasonic presented the brand new Z95A with the "Master OLED Ultimate" panel at CES.

While Panasonic does not provide any specific details on brightness, LG Display promises a peak HDR brightness of 3,000 nits and a brightness of 1,500 nits for individual colors. The panel achieves a full 4K resolution at 144 Hz. In conjunction with VRR, HDMI 2.1, and Dolby Vision IQ, even at maximum frame rate, the TV is perfect for use with gaming PCs, an Xbox Series X, or a Sony PlayStation 5 (approx. 456 euros on Amazon). A dedicated Game Control Board allows gaming features to be adjusted quickly.

Panasonic has installed a soundbar with support for Dolby Atmos and "360-Soundscape-Pro" virtual surround sound. The manufacturer has not yet provided precise details of the performance or speaker configuration, but according to the illustration, there are at least 20 drivers in the soundbar under the panel. According to HDTVTest, the integrated HCX Pro AI Processor MK II is based on a MediaTek Pentonic chip; in any case, the SoC can upscale content to 4K using artificial intelligence. Panasonic relies on Amazon Fire TV for the software.

Prices and availability

The Panasonic Z95A is available with a diagonal of either 55 inches or 65 inches. Panasonic offers the almost identical 77-inch Z93A, which does not have a Master OLED Pro Ultimate but a Master OLED Pro panel instead - manufacturer has not yet confirmed the technical differences between these panels. Both models will also be available in Germany, but Panasonic has not yet confirmed any details about the price or the start of sales.
