Deal | 820-watt JBL Bar 9.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar back on sale for 50% off on Amazon
The Samsung-owned brand JBL is known for its plethora of audio products, some of which are targeted at home theater enthusiasts who plan to spend more than $500 on a new Dolby Atmos soundbar. Additionally, a current Amazon offer is particularly interesting for TV owners who would hate to run cables across their cozy living room.
The most recognizable feature of the JBL Bar 9.1, which is now on sale for $599 in a limited-time Lightning deal at Amazon, are the entirely wireless rear speakers, which have a battery life of up to 10 hours and magnetically connect to the side of the Dolby Atmos soundbar when it's time to recharge.
This deal offers a considerable 50% discount relative to JBL's official list price. Furthermore, it almost matches a popular sale from last November and comes close to Amazon's all-time low for the JBL Bar 9.1 according to Camelcamelcamel.
Besides the convenient satellite speakers, the JBL soundbar has a powerful wireless subwoofer with 300 watts. The total output of this Dolby Atmos audio system maxes out at a whopping 820 watts, which should be enough to produce a room-filling surround sound when watching the latest Hollywood blockbusters.
Most importantly, the JBL Bar 9.1 supports Dolby Atmos audio tracks and can also deal with DTS:X. 4K Dolby Vision passthrough via HDMI is also possible. Overall, the JBL Bar 9.1 is an excellent alternative for more or less lazy television owners who prefer the convenience of a soundbar but also don't want to miss out on the added immersion that dedicated rear speakers can provide.
