Apple might choose to mark the first-gen iPhone's upcoming 20th anniversary in a number of ways, making a foldable, portless or all-glass tribute to the world-changing device as introduced by Steve Jobs all those years ago included.
Whichever form-factor the rumored special-edition iPhone might adopt, it is so tortuously "complex" that its production can only be achieved using the services of facilities located in China, according to the Bloomberg tech contributor Mark Gurman.
The correspondent has yet to mention any specific suppliers or plants that might be tapped to help make the potentially unique iPhone.
Either way, the Cupertino-based giant's monumental anniversary plans apparently entail cutting its newer manufacturing partners in India, acquired for a number of reasons (the latest of which are thought to be related to certain tariffs) over the last few years, out of the equation.
In any case, the hypothetical iPhone 20th Anniversary Edition won't be available until 2027 at the earliest, obviously.
