The first Mi Home retail location In India is scheduled to open its gates on May 20. Located in Bengaluru, this store will offer all Xiaomi products, from smartphones and power banks to air purifiers.

Earlier today, Xiaomi inaugurated its first Mi Home retail store in India. Sadly, the public has to wait for a while until it opens its gates to everyone since this location is scheduled to open for everyone on May 20. Next to India, Xiaomi currently has stores in four more countries in the region - China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Located in Bengaluru, the new Mi Home store will have in stock all the Xiaomi products up for sale in India and nothing more. The list of Xiaomi products that will be available in this store is quite long, including fitness bands, smartphones, tablets, air purifiers, power banks, and more.

Xiaomi assured its customers that the Mi Home retail stores always have the full range of products in stock. In the rare cases when a product is not available, the customer gets an f-code that guarantees a product on mi.com, no matter if it is listed as not being available at that given time.

The Chinese company plans to open no less than 100 Mi Home stores in India in the next two years.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
