The Cupertino giant continues to expand in the offline retail market, as the company announces the opening of a new brick-and-mortar location in the Middle East. The new Apple retail store in Dubai joins the existing locations that have been operating in the area for more than 18 months already.
The Apple Dubai Mall retail store features an 186-foot curved storefront and balcony that overlook two iconic landmarks - Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. According to the official press release, this retail location has been designed "as a aspace for the community to gather" and "will also serve as a venue to watch the spectacular evening fountain shows and will host Apple’s new global in-store experience, "Today at Apple," also announced today."
The new store has 148 employees who speak a total of 45 languages. The retail space is shaded using carbon fiber "Solar Wings," its design being inspired by the traditional Arabic Mashrabiya. Apple's Dubai and Abu Dhabi stores recorded more than 4 million visitors since their opening.
