Although many mid-range phones and even low-end offerings come with dual cameras these days, the Xiaomi Mi 5X offers something extra. Available in China for the equivalent of US$220, it is one of the few smartpphones that comes with a higher-end dual camera setup. In this case, we are talking about the same hardware as that used by the Xiaomi Mi 6.
Xiaomi has been teasing a global launch that is set for September 5 for a while now, but there is little doubt about the identity of the "Flagship Dual Camera" handset they are planning to unleash worldwide. In addition to the 12 MP main camera setup, this smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, a 5 MP front camera, a 3,080 mAh battery, as well as Android Nougat with MIUI 9 on top.
In India, the Mi 5X is expected to debut around INR₹15,000. There is no official information on the prices yet, but we should find out everything there is to know next week.
