Xiaomi has released the TV Box S (3rd Gen) in some European countries. Expected to roll out to more markets in the near future, this model is said to be more powerful than its predecessor, the TV Box S (2nd Gen). Features include Google TV, support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Audio, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

The Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) has started to roll out in Europe. This product was spotted on the brand’s global website earlier this year. It arrives wth various upgrades compared to the 2023 TV Box S (2nd Gen).

These improvements for the third generation device include a more powerful 64-bit processor alongside a quad-core A55 CPU; Xiaomi suggests that the CPU performance is boosted by 25%, while the GPU performance is enhanced by 130%. Plus, the memory has increased to 2+32GB from 2+8GB. Plus, an early customer test against the Google TV Streamer found the Xiaomi model to be superior in many areas.

Xiaomi’s latest TV Box S supports a 4K resolution with 4K 60FPS video decoding, like its predecessor. Users can access many streaming apps through Google TV, and there is support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. For audio, it supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, though it lacks the audio output available on the second generation model. It offers two ports, HDMI 2.1 and USB 2.0, and supports 2.4GHz/ 5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2.

You can now buy the Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) in Spain for €74.99 and in France for €69.99. At Amazon, you can buy the product for €66.64 in Germany. As a reminder, the TV Box S (2nd Gen) retails for €69.99. It is unclear when the latest model will arrive in other European countries like the UK and the Netherlands.
