Back in April, Roku launched two new streaming sticks — the Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025 and the Roku Streaming Stick Plus 2025. Now, both devices have been discounted and make for an affordable way to revive an aging smart TV or turn a regular TV or projector into a smart one.
The Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025 cost $29.99 when it began selling in May, but for a limited time, Amazon has slashed the price by 37%, bringing it down to $19. The streaming device has a compact design, so it doesn't take up space and block other HDMI ports. It also has a USB-C port for power but you don't need a power brick as it can be powered by the USB port on your TV.
The Roku Streaming Stick HD 2025 supports 1080p streaming (upscaled from 720p) and comes with a voice remote which makes it easy to find shows across apps. It also has shortcut buttons for Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and Prime Video. There are also hundreds of free live TV channels to watch from.
If HD streaming won't cut it for you, the Roku Streaming Stick Plus 2025 which supports 4K streaming is also discounted. Originally $39.99, the streaming stick can now be purchased for $29.99. It supports HDR and HDR10+, and according to Roku, apps launch faster than on the standard model. However, unlike the more expensive Roku Streaming Stick 4K, it doesn't have support for Dolby Vision.
