Dangbei announces new S7 Ultra Max projector with liquid cooling
Dangbei has launched the S7 Ultra Max projector in China. This is the brand’s latest flagship model, designed for home theater setups. The company claims that it is the industry’s first product to feature liquid cooling, said to increase heat exchange efficiency by 40-50%.
The S7 Ultra Max is a 4K projector with a triple laser light source, marketed as delivering up to 5,800 CVIA lumens brightness. A measurement for an internationally recognised standard like ANSI or ISO lumens brightness has not been provided. According to the product listing, this DLP projector has an 8,000:1 contrast ratio, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and BT.2020 color gamuts, and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR Vivid. You can use the projector to throw images up to 300 inches wide, and it has a 0.98-1.6:1 throw ratio with lossless optical zoom.
Users can choose from various aspect ratios, including 21:9 and 16:9, and the integrated tilting stand allows you to adjust the projection angle up to 180°. Dangbei’s S7 Ultra Max uses the brand’s Super AI OS 6.0 based on Android 14, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Other features include a voice assistant, a 240Hz Game Mode, and wireless screencasting via tools like Apple AirPlay. Plus, there are built-in speakers compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, and a range of ports like HDMI 2.1 (eARC), USB 3.0, and USB-C. This projector measures 336 x 202 x 287 mm (~13.2 x 8.0 x 11.3 inches).
The Dangbei S7 Ultra Max projector will retail in China for CNY 15,999 (~$2,230). The company has yet to confirm whether or not this model will be released in other countries like the US, where it already sells products like the DBOX02 Laser Projector (curr. $1,299 at Amazon).
