The BenQ  B7100 Interactive Game Projector is now available in China. This model is designed for commercial use and comes with pre-installed games for children. The short throw projector is relatively bright and is interactive thanks to an IR camera.

BenQ has launched the B7100 Interactive Game Projector in China. Designed for use in retail and leisure environments, this commercial model could be used to entertain children while their parents are shopping, eating or relaxing.

The B7100 protector has a WXGA (1,280 x 800 px) resolution and a 12,000:1 contrast ratio. The light source is said to deliver up to 4,000 ISO lumens brightness, making it suitable for brightly lit spaces. According to BenQ, the model has a short throw ratio of 1.55-1.7; this should allow users to cast a 100 inch (~254 cm) image at a distance of 2.4 m (~7.9 ft).

This new BenQ projector runs on an Android operating system and comes with 20 preloaded games. The range is said to offer both fun and educational options, including a whack-a-mole activity. These games are interactive thanks to the accompanying infrared (IR) camera, allowing players to tap or swipe on an ordinary wall. While the measurements of this model remain unclear, the company indicates that it can be wall-mounted or floor-standing.

In China, the BenQ B7100 Interactive Game Projector is now available for CNY 7,699 (~$1,075). The company has yet to announce plans to bring this model to other markets like North America or Europe.
