The Jmgo PicoPlay and PicoPlay+ projectors have arrived. They appear to be international versions of the Jmgo P5X projector, which was released in China in May 2025. These are billed as “coffee-cup-sized” mini projectors, with their design making them particularly portable.
JGMO’s new PicoPlay projectors are almost identical, aside from the peak brightness level. The PicoPlay is said to offer up to 400 ISO lumens, while the PicoPlay+ delivers up to 450 ISO lumens. They both deliver images up to 200 inches wide with a 1080p resolution and 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. There is also support for HDR10 and 3D content. You can easily adjust the set-up thanks to an 88° rotating gimbal, and you can quickly perfect the image with tools like real-time autofocus, auto keystone, and screen alignment.
The PicoPlay series projectors use Google TV, allowing users to access streaming services like YouTube and Netflix. This also brings support for Google Assistant voice commands and Google Cast wireless casting from a mobile device. There is an integrated 8W speaker, compatible with Dolby Audio, and ports include HDMI (ARC), USB-C and USB-A. This is a truly portable projector with an integrated 20,000 mAh battery, for up to three hours of video playback or seven hours of music. These compact devices measure 3.3 x 3.3 x 6.5 inches (~8.5 x 8.5 x 16.6 cm) and weigh 2.2 lbs (~0.7 kg).
You can now buy the Jmgo PicoPlay projector for $299/€349; that is $200/€150 less than the $499/€499 RRP. These deals can be found at the brand’s online store and on Amazon. When it becomes available, the Jmgo PicoPlay+ will launch at $449/€449.
