Asus has now released one of the two glossy OLED gaming monitors that it previewed in May during Computex 2025. For reference, the company presented the ROG Swift OLED XG32UCWMG the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG with the promise that both will be available globally in August. Now, the more expensive of the two has landed in China for significantly less than the recent ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR.
To recap, the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG utilises a 32-inch WOLED panel produced by LG Display. By default, the panel operates natively at 4K with a 165 Hz refresh rate. However, Asus has included Dual Mode technology that allows the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG to double its frame rate to 330 Hz by dropping its resolution to 1080p.
Another selling point of the ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG is its TrueBlack Glossy coating, which is said to reduce reflections by 38% compared with Asus' previous glossy coatings found on monitors like the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM (curr. $1,199.99 on Amazon). Moreover, the new monitor boasts 0.03 ms GtG response times aided by AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync technologies, as well as DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and USB Type-C (15 W) ports.
The ROG Strix OLED XG32UCWG is available in China for CNY 5,599 (~$839) from retailers like JD.com. By contrast, the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDMR costs CNY 8,499 (~$1,188) in the same country. Currently, the former is expected to reach other markets like the US for $949. Asus has not shared a global release date yet, though.
