At CES 2025, Asus launched the Zenbook 14 OLED UX3405CA laptop with the latest Intel Arrow Lake-H CPUs. In keeping with the prior generation Zenbook 14 laptops, the 2025 UX3405CA aims to be a premium notebook featuring a vibrant OLED display, fast performance, exceptional portability, and good battery life.
So, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED laptop is a pretty good laptop for users who want a balanced, upper-tier machine. The top-end configuration of the laptop is now retailing for $400 below its list price, which has made the Zenbook 14 OLED’s value proposition miles better.
Coming in at just $899.99 instead of the usual $1,299.99 (linked at the end), the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED on sale at Best Buy packs a:
- 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H CPU
- 14-inch FHD+ touch-sensitive OLED display
- 75 Wh battery, which supports fast charging
- Low weight of just 1.28 kg (2.82 lbs.)
- Backlit keyboard with 1.4 mm key travel
Moreover, Asus has also outfitted the laptop with a good port selection consisting of:
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- One Type-A connect
- One HDMI 2.1 out
- A 3.5 mm audio jack
Sadly, there is no microSD or full-sized SD card reader. The Asus Zenbook 14 has the display and power needed for creative work, so the exclusion of a card reader is quite puzzling. However, you can get a Type-C dongle with a card reader for quite cheap on Amazon.
Talking about creative work, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED on sale is equipped with a 16-core Core Ultra 9 285H. The Arrow Lake-H processor is pretty fast and efficient, as shown by our thorough analysis. Combined with a 100% DCI-P3 display with practically infinite contrast and 500 nits of HDR brightness, the Zenbook 14 OLED is all set to be a portable editing machine.
That said, due to the elevated power limits of the Core Ultra 9 285H, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED seems to sacrifice some battery life for added performance. Laptop Mag claims that their unit with the same chip but a 3K resolution panel lasted only 9 hours in their Wi-Fi web surfing test. The unit on sale, with a lower-resolution 1200p panel, should, in theory, last a bit longer.
Long story short, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED for $899.99 is quite a compelling package.
