Xiaomi intros new 4K monitor with 90W USB-C charging and up to 240Hz refresh rate

Xiaomi has refreshed the Redmi A27U, and this time, the company is positioning the Type-C monitor as a versatile option for both work and play. Specifically, the 2027 model has two options available.

Among them, one is a dual-mode monitor with the ability to operate at the 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. This upper-end option can also reach up to 240Hz when the resolution is switched to FHD, making it an ideal pick for competitive gaming.

As for the other one, it can only operate at the 4K resolution natively, and the refresh rate is capped at 75Hz. Other than that, the specs between the two are nearly identical. That includes the same screen size, which is 27-inch, and Xiaomi highlights that the panel has a 400 nits brightness rating, and both have DisplayHDR 400 certification.

The company further highlights that the panel has 100% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 color coverage, and Xiaomi notes that the screens come with factory calibration. This makes the 2027 Redmi A27U good for professional work.

Like the last-gen models, the new Redmi A27U has a USB-C port with 90W reverse charging support (240W Silkland 3-feet monitor cable curr. $11.89 on Amazon). That means it's possible to connect the monitor to a laptop while keeping it charged with a single cable. Other than this Type-C port, the monitor has the following port configuration:

In China, the 2027 Redmi A27U with 240Hz refresh rate support costs CNY 1,999, around $297. The lower-end option is retailing for CNY 1,699, about $253. Xiaomi has brought the last-gen models to the global market, and the same is expected to happen to this monitor.
