Xiaomi confirms massive battery for Redmi Note 17 Pro Max ahead of global launch

Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Redmi Note 17 series in the global market. To look back, the company introduced this lineup in China in July 2026, and so far, the series officially has three models: a standard with 4G connectivity, a 5G vanilla phone, and one Pro.
However, as Xiaomi was preparing for the global release of the lineup, a model named Redmi Note 17 Pro Max surfaced. This phone was spotted on an Amazon listing, and from the initial available information, it will seemingly be the successor of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus.
The initial reports also suggested that it would have a massive battery, and now, Xiaomi has confirmed it. With the latest round of teasers, the company has shared that the global Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature a 10,000mAh battery.
Through the teasers, Xiaomi has also confirmed that this phone will support 100W fast charging, which should get the massive battery to 100% quickly (Iniu 240W 6-feet two-set cable curr. $9.47 on Amazon). Of course, this wouldn't be the first smartphone from a relatively recognized brand with such a high battery capacity.
Realme, for example, released the P4 Power in January 2026 with a massive 10,001mAh battery. However, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max would have a slight edge over it because Realme's smartphone supports 80W fast charging.
Xiaomi didn't share the other core specs of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max yet, but the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. The good part is that the global launch is around the corner, with the unveiling set for August 27, 2026.
