Leak reveals HMD 102 4G Pro with four upgrades and fresh design

The HMD 102 was officially unveiled last December. The highly reliable leaker @smashx_60 has now learned that HMD Global is planning a Pro model featuring a colorful body with a heavily rounded frame. Technically, this model is expected to receive four main upgrades.
First, dual-band LTE to achieve a stronger signal. Second, a better main camera, although the upgrade from 0.1 megapixels to 0.3 MP is largely symbolic – a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels is barely sufficient even for social media. Third, the battery capacity is reportedly increasing from 1,000 mAh to 1,200 mAh, which should give the phone 20 percent longer battery life. And fourth, HMD Global is said to be upgrading the feature phone to 24 MB of RAM and 48 MB of flash memory, which can be expanded by up to 32 GB via a microSD card.
Despite these upgrades, the HMD 102 4G Pro is likely to be positioned at the lower end of HMD Global’s product portfolio. This is because the phone features only a 2-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, a moderately powerful Unisoc 8910FF-S processor, and the S30+ operating system typical for this device class. At least the phone is said to offer a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 4.2, a music player app, and Snake. The casing is IP52-certified and is therefore only protected against light water splashes. Details regarding the price or launch date of the HMD 102 4G Pro are not yet known.
