RTS games might be a dying breed, and Microsoft seems to be the only one keeping them alive. PlayStation owners can now experience two legendary games that shaped the genre: Age of Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition. The former will be playable on the PlayStation on March 4.
Those willing to pay early can get a five-day head start and dive in on February 27 along with the Immortal Pillars expansion. Additionally, cross-play is supported from the get-go, meaning you'll be able to play Age of Mythology: Retold with your PC and Xbox mates. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait a bit longer to experience Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on your PlayStation.
World's Edge says the game will hit the platform "in spring" without divulging an exact date. But, Age of Mythology should help you bide the time. Lastly, Age of Empires IV also gets two new DLCs in 2025. The first one, Knights of Cross and Rose, will be launched in spring. There's no word about the second one, but that might drop later in 2025. Even the pay-to-win Age of Empires Mobile gets some new content in February.
