The base game features eight civilizations, each with its own story and unique gameplay style. Explore and conquer these lands, and expand your territory by founding new cities. You'll be able to develop your civilization by discovering mysterious artifacts and researching advanced technologies. Various resources are available and can be traded.

To stay one step ahead of other civilizations, you can also use diplomacy. But if they oppose you, you'll have to face them in turn-based battles. To win, use your heroes, abilities, units, and the environment to your advantage. 

Endless Legend has been particularly popular with players. Indeed, it has a Metascore of 82 and a user score of 7.9 on Metacritic. On Steam, 83% of its 19,083 reviews are positive. Players appreciate the fantasy universe, the gameplay mechanics, and the combat. According to players, each faction is different, and the multiplayer mode is also one of its strengths. However, some players strongly criticize its interface, which they consider poor. Many bugs have been reported, and the progression curve has also been criticized.
