The Aibook 14 Air Carbon is a new lightweight laptop sporting a 2.8K, 120 Hz and 14-inch OLED display. Equipped with an AMD Strix Point processor and an 85 Wh battery too, it seems that Thunderobot is gunning for Lenovo and its popular ThinkPad X1 Carbon series.

Thunderobot is preparing to bring its first Intel Panther Lake gaming laptop to market. Equipped with a Core Ultra 9 386H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU, the Zero Air should rival 14-inch laptops on weight while featuring a 15.3-inch OLED display. At the same time, the company has shared initial details about the Aibook 14 Air Carbon, which it also showcased last week during CES 2026.

Taking after the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the Aibook 14 Air Carbon promises to pack a 14-inch display within a housing that weighs around 1 kg. Although the Aibook 14 Air Carbon weighs slightly more than the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 we reviewed last year (curr. $1,387 on Amazon), the Aibook 14 Air Carbon should pack more power thanks to its AMD Ryzen AI 9 H 365 APU. A version of the Ryzen AI 9 365 for the Chinese market, the Ryzen AI 9 H 365 combines 10 cores, 20 threads and a Radeon 880M iGPU with a 45 W TDP.

Also, the Aibook 14 Air Carbon boasts an 85 Wh battery for a 49% increase on the 57 Wh capacity that the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 offers. By the looks of things, Thunderobot has obtained the same 14-inch OLED display Lenovo uses in the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 too, with a 2.8K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and DC dimming mentioned. Thunderobot plans to launch the Aibook 14 Air Carbon in April.
