The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 9S, Mi 8 and Mi 8 Pro receive new MIUI 12 updates
We thought that Xiaomi had forgotten about the Mi 8 Pro, but it has now upgraded the handset to MIUI 12 on the global and Russian branches of MIUI 12. Both are Stable Beta updates for the time being, but you could flash the recovery or OTA zips manually should you wish to try upgrading your Mi 8 Pro early.
Similarly, Xiaomi has upgraded the Mi 8 to MIUI 12 in Russia. This is also a Stable Beta update, but Xiaomi Firmware Updater has published the download links for the recovery and OTA zips that Xiaomi hosts on its servers.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has finalised the MIUI 12 update for the global version of the Redmi Note 7. The company released V12.0.1.0.QFGMIXM as a Stable Beta update last month, but it is finally rolling out the update to all global handsets. V12.0.1.0.QFGMIXM should be arriving as an OTA if it has not already. Alternatively, you could download the recovery, fastboot or OTA zip via the links below.
The global MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 9S has reached stable status, too. Previously, Xiaomi released V12.0.1.0.QJWMIXM as a Stable Beta update, but this has now been replaced by V12.0.2.0.QJWMIXM. The same update has reached the Russian branch of MIUI too, although it remains at the Stable Beta stage, for the time being.
