New updates arrive for the Mi A3 as the Redmi Note 9S also starts receiving MIUI 12 globally
Yesterday, we reported that Xiaomi has begun sending out the MIUI 12 update to the European branch of the Redmi Note 9S. Well, it appears that the company has expanded that rollout even further, and is now seeding the MIUI 12 update to global variants of the device.
The new update for the Redmi Note 9S carries the build number "MIUI 18.104.22.168 QJWMIXM", with designation denoting the fact that it's the very first build, and rolling out to the global version of the phone. The update weighs in at 629 MB and delivers all the MIUI 12 features to owners of the global Redmi Note 9S.
Meanwhile, the Mi A3 is now receiving a new update. The update is currently being sent out to two versions of the phone—the global and European models, with build numbers "V22.214.171.124 QFQMIXM" and "V126.96.36.199 QFOEUXM" respectively. The update delivers the October security patch to the device. The Mi A2 Lite received a similar update last week, and we expect the Mi A2 to follow shortly. The Mi A1 has, of course, reached the end of its lifespan and will no longer receive updates.
