Xiaomi has issued the September update to the Mi A2, bringing a new security patch to the Android One device. The new update, V11.0.14.0.QDIMIXM, also includes some bug fixes.

Xiaomi has issued a new update to the Mi A2, one of the company's Android One handsets. Xiaomi released the Mi A2 in July 2018 on Android 8.1 Oreo, meaning that the device was only ever likely to receive up to Android 10. The Mi A2 received its final OS upgrade earlier this year, but Xiaomi should still update the device to new security patch revisions until July 2021.

The latest security patch update apparently brings a few bug fixes too, though. Besides the September set of security patches, Xiaomi has supposedly addressed an issue where the option to enable split-screen mode would occasionally disappear. Additionally, Xiaomi has reportedly minimised an echo bug that affected some devices during phone calls.

Xiaomi is releasing V11.0.14.0.QDIMIXM to the Mi A2 in batches, so it may take a few weeks before the update reaches all devices. In the meantime, you could try installing the recovery or fastboot ROMs, which you can download via the links below.
