Realme has announced a new software update for the 3 Pro. It upgrades the phone's security patch level to September 2019. This OTA also adds Digital Wellbeing and a screen-on time meter to this build of Color OS.

Realme released the 3 Pro in April 2019, and has been committed to updating it ever since. For example, it has been included in the Android Q beta program, and is currently on a stable build of Pie (9.0). The latest version of this ROM (Color OS 6 version RMX1851EX_11_A.19) contains the new September 2019 security patch.

This update also brings Digital Wellbeing to these phones for the first time. Therefore, 3 Pro users will be able to track their phone-use behaviors, down to how often they unlock their screens, with much more accuracy. On that note, the Realme phone will be capable of locking through a long press of the power button.

The new Color OS 6 for the Realme 3 Pro also contains much more granular control over the data that can be used by hotspot-connected devices and the phone itself. It also now supports screen-on time tracking in its battery settings, as well as an "Optimized Smart Assistant interface". Not bad for a device that started at the equivalent of US$200.
