The Terrans Force Handle 5 is now available globally. Previously known as the TerransForce Handle 5, the gaming handheld combines a 50 Wh battery with an AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U APU, a 120 Hz display and LPDDR5 RAM.

Minixpc has started selling the TerransForce Handle 5, now known as the Terrans Force Handle 5. To recap, the gaming handheld mirrors the ASUS ROG Ally thanks to a 120 Hz display and a Zen 4 APU. However, the TerransForce Handle 5 has a 50 Wh battery, a 25% increase over the equivalent in the ROG Ally.

For some reason, Terrans Force has sourced the Ryzen 7 PRO 7840U instead of the Ryzen 7 7840U. While the former averages 1% higher performance than the latter in our benchmarks, AMD's 'PRO' designation relates to additional security features designed for professional users and workstation environments, not gaming handhelds. Nonetheless, ETA Prime reports that the TerransForce Handle 5 is up there with the most powerful current-generation gaming handhelds, even with LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 6,500 MT/s.

Previously, Minixpc suggested that the Handle 5 would be available for as little as $650. Instead, the TerransForce Handle 5 starts at $999.99 with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Also, Minixpc is selling a 32 GB of RAM variant for $1,099.99, albeit with the same amount of storage. Please see the retailer's website for more details.
