Umidigi A15 Tab: New, cheap tablet offers 4096 pressure levels

Umidigi is offering a new tablet, the A15 Tab, which is basically an entry-level device and thus primarily suitable for basic tasks and less so for particularly demanding tasks. In principle, the model can also be used for media playback, but Widevine certification is lacking, which means that material from streaming services cannot be played in full quality.

A Unisoc Tiger T616 SoC is installed along with 8 GB of RAM, which can be expanded using a type of swap file. 256 GB of storage is installed, which can also be expanded via memory card. But users have to decide whether to expand the memory or use a second SIM card.

The 257.5 x 162 millimeter and 7.5 millimeter thick tablet weighs 491 grams and is equipped with an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 and a maximum brightness of 420 cd/m². An included stylus supports pressure sensitivity of up to 4096 levels, which is by no means standard.

A battery with a capacity of 7500 mAh is installed, which can be charged via USB Type C with up to 20 watts. Four speakers and an audio jack are on board, which promise decent audio playback. Lastly, Android 13 is used as the operating system.

The Umidigi A15 Tab will soon be available for direct import at a price of just under $150.
