NVIDIA to stretch RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER releases throughout all of January 2024 with seven embargo dates
VideoCardz claims to have obtained new details about NVIDIA's release schedule for the RTX 40 SUPER series. For reference, VideoCardz's leak follows a similar one by ITHome, details of which we have covered separately. While the latter provided four dates, the former has outlined an additional three launch-related dates separate from those that ITHome mentioned previously.
To start with, NVIDIA is expected to announce the RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER simultaneously on January 8 at 09:00 PT (17:00 UTC). For some reason, while NVIDIA will allow RTX 4070 SUPER unboxings to occur from 14:00 PT (22:00 UTC) on launch day, publication of initial reviews will be held back until January 16 at 06:00 PT (14:00 UTC), with 'non-MSRP' reviews scheduled 24 hours later when the graphics card actually hits shelves.
Meanwhile, NVIDIA will stagger the releases of the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER a week apart each, culminating in non-MSRP reviews and an on-shelf date for the latter of January 31 at 06:00 PT (14:00 UTC). Thus, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER should be available a week early, with MSRP reviews occurring a day before launch day. VideoCardz's leak also identifies the trio's SKU numbers, which are as follows:
- RTX 4070 SUPER - PG141 SKU 335
- RTX 4070 Ti SUPER - PG141 SKU 323
- RTX 4080 SUPER - PG139 SKU 355
