TAG Heuer Connected x Porsche Edition is a rehashed smartwatch with special pairing options for Taycan drivers
TAG Heuer has announced its new version of its latest smartwatch in fairly patent hopes that it will appeal to fans of high-end electric vehicles (EVs) and, ideally, who also own those of the Porsche-made variety. The new Connected special edition still has a black titanium case; however, it also has a new ceramic bezel made to stand apart from the standard model.
It features electric blue accents, which also continue through the middle of its highly-textured leather and rubber band; however, its most distinctive property might be the new chronograph, which goes from 0 at the 35-minute mark to 400 at 25 minutes, in a way apparently designed to echo Porsche-brand speedometers.
The new Connected edition also features a unique face that can display battery percentages, temperatures, range and trip distance from a paired compatible car such as a Taycan (or a Macan) on its 1.39-inch AMOLED display.
This new level of Porsche-themed accessorizing will set the buyer back by US$2,750 - or US$250 more than a 'normal' titanium Calibre E4, despite the fact both still run on the same Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor and are still stuck on Wear OS 2.0.
Huawei's Watch GT 2 Pro: also touted as fancy, has a similar display, yet available for much less on Amazon
