Porsche Design Conference Speaker launches with 12-hour lifetime
The Porsche Design Conference Speaker PDS30 has been launched. The portable hybrid device is designed for the office and home, combining a conference speaker and Bluetooth 5.2 speaker. Four microphones are built into the gadget, providing 360° voice coverage with a 3 m (~10 ft) voice to microphone distance, ensuring everyone in the room can be heard clearly.
In Conference Mode, you can twist the upper and lower sections of the speaker in opposite directions, exposing the microphones. When the gadget is closed, it operates in Bluetooth speaker mode. The device lasts up to 12 hours between charges; you can recharge the gadget via USB-C in around three hours. You can connect the Conference Speaker to any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or laptop, and the device is compatible with any smartphone assistant.
You can use the touch controls on top of the gadget to answer or end calls and adjust the volume. The speaker has a round, compact design with a satin anodized aluminum housing and fabric cover. The device measures 133 mm x 133 mm x 34 mm (~5.3 x 5.3 x 1.4-in) and weighs 415 g (~0.9 lbs). Included in the box are a USB-A to USB-C cable, a USB adapter and a storage pouch.
